Breathing
Breathing is the most important thing that we do. Without it, well...we wouldn't be here.
Most of us don't breathe correctly. How do you breathe correctly you may ask? It is as simple as a little practice.
The first thing you should do it look at how you sit and/or stand. Is it all slumped over or are your shoulders back and your head held high? The proper way to go is to throw your sholders back, and hold your head high. BUT for relaxational breathing the posture is diffrent. It is as follows:
Sit down in a comfortable chair, just not too soft.
Your head should be in line with your neck. Your chin should be slightly tucked under.
Let your sholders relax and go limp. You should sit with your coccyx just hitting the base of the chair, your upper back unsupported.
Release your knees. They should feel almost rubbery.
Release your belly. Take a few breaths in and out before starting to breathe for relaxation.
You should now start to breathe deeply and rhythmically. Inhale good, exhale bad. Imagine that you are water. As you inhale you are drawing back into the comfort of the sea, as you exhale all the debris is cast out of the sea upon the shore. Soon, all the debris is gone, and you are relaxed.
